Gerald and Ruth Tremper - San Diego, USA (October 2014)
I now have experience with other Romanian tour guides. Gigi your tour far exceeds the quality of others we have experienced.
Your apartment was as advertised: clean, welcoming, and nicely furnished.
Your tour was beyond my expectations. Your knowledge and love of your country was clearly shown every day. Despite the demanding schedule we imposed on you, you managed to show us even more than we had planned.
With heartfelt thanks, Jerry & Ruth Tremper
Taro Odashima - Japan Safe and secure even in deep snow with GIGI ! From 17thto 21th Dec. 2009, we, ─ I, my wife and daughter from Japan ─ made an unforgettable winter trip to Bucovina and Maramures.
Our tour guide was Mr. Sebastian Traciu, nickname "Gigi". Because of the railroad delay from Bucharest we met him in Suceava only after midnight.
On 18th he led us in deep snow to BUCOVINA PAINTED MONASTERIESTOUR and on the next day to MARAMURES TOUR. He then brought us through Prislop Pass on schedule to his colleague Mr. Muntean in Vadu Izei.On these days it snowed so much as never before in the last 30 years in Europe. Once it was minus 17 degrees. Gigi has asserted himself in this unusual weather condition and changed nothing at our plans. He is particularly tall and strong, very friendly and attentive. His motto is "Service". This has been shown during our trip. In Romania you can make, so I believe, with him in any season wonderful travels and trips.
Mitsuru Yanagida, Tokyo - Japan
Hi Dear Gigi san!
The days with you in Bucovina made me really happy. I travelled a lot but I must say that the Bucovina and Neamt tours are one of the best tours I ever had in my life. I am looking forward to seeing you again in near future. I thank you very much again for everything!
Ivy Leung - Hong Kong
We are back to Hong Kong and when I handled the pics in my computer, oh... I found that Romania is really really beautiful, not just the painted monestaries, churches..... the women, children, aged people.....the villages...... people are still living in their way. They are kind and peaceful.
Ken & Ako Hyraiama, Japan
Thank you very much for transfer from Sighetu Marmatiei to Suceava and 5 Monasteries Tour, and transfer to Brasov. How nice trip around northern part of Romania!
We enjoyed 3days trip very much.
Annette and Fred Ruegg, Australia
I don't know whether you remember us. The "elderly" Swiss couple who was in a hurry and had to cover a lot of distance in a short time..at the end of August.
Anyway, we had a memorable trip with you and you showed us a lot in a short time.
We are now back in Australia and we like to reminisce about our days in Romania.
Atsuko and Erika Kanahara, Japan.

We had an fantastic time in Bucovina and Transilvania with Gigi as our giude. He put together a great tour for us which was so varied and interesting. Everything was a highlight from the painted monestaries to going into Leotina's house (aged 90), visiting castles (and getting spooked!), going up high into the mountains by
chairlift, cablecar and 4 wheel drive, visiting beautiful medieval cities and fortified churches, rowing on Lacu Rosu, seeing Bicas gorges, visiting the egg lady and drinking blueberry wine. Romania really is a beautiful and interesting country- different from how we had imagined.
We were very fortunate to have had Gigi as our guide - he was excellent and we really enjoyed his company.
Thank you very much Gigi!

Imogen & Gary - Australia
Thank you so much for the lovely trip you organised for us. The painted monasteries were wonderful and we especially enjoyed the trip to the Maramures. Your knowledge of the local area as well as getting us to sample local cuisine was definitely a highlight!
It was a pleasure to meet you and spend time with you.We enjoyed Romania so much that we would like to return and enjoy a very small glass of palinca with you.
Warmest Regards, Imogen Caruso & Gary Brigante.
John Fisher & Suzanne Flanagan- Australia
Both Suzanne Flanagan and I traveled from Australia and stayed in Gigi's
apartment in Suceava and it as just perfectly located and very very comfortable.
This is a genuine posting and we left Gigi of AXA travel just a few hours ago in
Cluj Napoca after being in great churches and mushroom markets. AXA run by Gigi
is just as we wanted. Best apartment by far.

Daniel Sternberg - Venezuela (June 2013)
We flew quite a few thousand miles to Bucovina to visit where our grandparents and great grandparents were born and used to live. We stayed in Suceava, Radautz and Chernivtsi (Ukraine). At all times with Gigi as our driver, guide and host. Gigi was always on time, able to acomodate requests and with the ability to resolve the few dificulties we experienced (Venezuelans need Visa for Ukraine). His English is very good, His Van comforable and the apartment in Suceava for rent is very clean, nicely decorated and perfectlyl located (maybe when you are entering the building/hall and elevator you might ask yourself if it was a good decission, but once inside you will find yourself home). The last day of our trip Gigi went out of his way so we can have a great traditional Romanian meal that we were missing.
Thanks Gigi and Best of Luck
Charles and Rosalie Chalmers - Cristchurch, New Zeeland (August 2013)
Thank you so much for helping to make our stay in Romania such a
wonderful experience. The personal service and excellent communication
you provided both before and during the trip were outstanding. The
thorough way you organised all of the details of the four days of
trips with your company made everything go very smoothly. The guides
you provided were very helpful and informative. The places you
suggested we visit were very interesting. The accommodation you
organised was extremely comfortable and the country home stay was a
highlight of our time.

Stephen and Christina Anderson - California, USA (October 2013)
We have been home a few days and when we speak of Romania to our friends, we always tell them about the day we spent visiting the Bucovina monasteries with you. During our 5 week driving trip through Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, it was one of our favorite days. We had seen monasteries and beautiful churches in many places during our trip, each with their own style of architecture and adornments. We tell everyone that the Bucovina monasteries should not be missed, and that we particularly benefited from being with you.
Standing and looking at the paintings on the monasteries takes your breath away. The colors are amazing and so beautifully painted. But it was invaluable to have you there as our guide to help us see the symbolism throughout. And we deeply appreciate the extensive knowledge you have developed about the monasteries and so ably shared with us. When we look back through the photos that we took, we can appreciate how much the monasteries have contributed to the history and culture of Romania and feel very honored that we were able to visit them and learn to see them through your eyes. Nearly as much as the monasteries themselves, we enjoyed driving through the villages and along the roads to somewhat be able to experience the magic of Romania that has been lost by the rest of us. Stopping along the way to see the milk collective cart, visiting the potters at work, the charming woman who proudly displayed handicrafts of her friends. It made for a wonderful day that we could not have experienced our on own. We plan to come back to Romania sometime soon and will certainly contact you for more of your wonderful expertise and your infectious love of all things Romanian.
